RED HAND™ is a blues and jazz band with more years in music than most politicians have in politics. Brahm the percussionist, Des the Guitarist, and Mart the Bass player and vocalist have worked together for many years - playing gigs, recording and generally being muso's. In 2000 the band's new form began to take shape with the Power of the original blues suddenly and profoundly affecting the three. But with Blues and Jazz, comes the demand for wind instruments and keyboards. The 3 Piece Band has performed at Fashion Shows, Rave Events, Top Restaurants and Nightclubs, for Corporates, and together with jazz and blues bands at various events. They are a regular feature at the popular BLUES ROOM in Sandton.
The band expands with a stunning brass section and the addition of 2 members playing trumpet, multiple clarinets and an amazing array of saxophones.

Martin Meerholz: Bass Player, vocalist/composer with various bands in various genre's until he became interested in the Double Bass sound and discovered raw original blues. Has a decade of gigging and recording behind him, including bands such as MAO which was runner up in South Africa's Battle of the Bands 1999. Currently perfecting his riffs and rolls, and is the main vocalist in Red Hand.

Latham: Guitarist, has performed and composed music around South Africa
since 1979. Discovered the real raw blues a few years ago and began to listen
and learn! Has many bands and years experience, as well as a signature model
Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster - the only one in Africa!!
