If you'd like to give a function an unforgettable twist, with an entertainer guaranteed to crack up any mixture of people, Brian Alexander is your first and obvious choice. His reeking, filthy "Wandering Hobo" will 'gatecrash' your function and interact directly with your guests. His surprise introduction to an evening cannot but keep an audience in stitches.
Brian is made up as a toothless, sun-baked gent of the road, dressed in filthy rags, his toes projecting from his worn-out, unmatched shoes, a dirty ol' brown sack slung over his shoulder filled with snacks, glasses, empty cans, etc. that he has nicked from his years of aimless wandering. He enters the room with fake inebriation, his rotten cough introducing him to your guests. A few might offer him a drink to get rid of him, or defend the deprived man and donate a few Rand - the rest will be in stitches, either too embarrassed or too shocked to know how to react to this awkward incursion.
It must be prearranged that Brian gets 'thrown out' of the venue by a manager, security or the organisers. Tenaciously, he re-emerges onstage, grabs the microphone and entertains your guests with his cabaret show, rooted in his hobo character. His routine includes jokes and a well-used harmonica, rounded off with a spot of song and dance, as he shows off his fine voice with a cheeky bit of style.
Brian hails from Natal and has been entertaining audiences countrywide for a number of years with this unique character. He has kept crowds glued to their seats with his appearances at golf days, weddings, black-tie dinners, product launches and private parties.
Audiences
are guaranteed to want the Wandering Hobo back
